Harriet Chan, RN MSc GDipEd Cert Med Neuroscience, has over 20 years of experience as a nurse working in Western Australia. She has extensive training and expertise in neuroscience.
Harriet has held a number of senior nurse roles in WA Health including clinical nurse specialist, clinical nurse consultant, and as the Staff Development Educator she was responsible for coordinating the State Post-Graduate Neuroscience Nursing Program for 15 years.
Harriet has worked as a lecturer at Murdoch University teaching the post-graduate certificate in Community Neurological Nursing. She has also delivered a number of blended neuroscience nursing education programs to nurses working in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria and Indonesia, and is published in a number of research papers in international nursing journals. In addition to her work at The Perth Brain Centre as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Harriet works as a scientific conference convenor at The Australasian Neuroscience Nurses Association and continues her nursing practice in Critical Care Neuroscience. Previously she was employed as a Nurse Consultant (Workforce Development) at The Neurological Council of Western Australia.
