Discover the difference a brain scan can make
Brain imaging changes everything
Do you or someone you know have ADHD, anxiety or depression ? Are you or your child Autistic ? Have you ever wondered why you or someone you know have difficulties with attention or learning, feel anxious or overwhelmed, can’t relax or switch-off, or have challenges with regulating emotions and mood ? Are you looking for answers and a different approach ?
What’s going on inside your brain?
The Perth Brain Centre (est. 2007) leads a pioneering approach to brain health and uses QEEG Brain Scans to look inside your brain and see how it’s working. This unique information can be used to help you find the answers you’re looking for and get the results you want. It just makes sense. That’s what sets Perth Brain Centre apart.
QEEG Brain Scans are safe and are suitable for almost any age. Unlike standard CT and MRI scans which provide information about brain structure, QEEG Brain Scans provide important information about brain function (for example areas of decreased or increased brain activity) by directly measuring the electrical activity of the brain, known as “brain waves” or “EEG.” This important information is used to guide personalised, evidence-based and drug-free therapies that work by "re-training" or "re-wiring" the brain, offering children and adults a revolutionary path to better health.
Common brain scan patterns
Everyone is different. Symptoms can (and often do) overlap, in research this is known as “trans-diagnostic”, so there is never “one brain pattern always seen” in everyone with a diagnosis of ADHD, Anxiety, Autism or Depression etc.
There are however common patterns associated with different types of thoughts, feelings or behaviours. The Perth Brain Centre has conducted tens of thousands of QEEG Brain Scans since 2007 and in the next section there are some examples of common brain patterns. Please note that only simple examples are shown. Remember that people are complex and can often have more than one pattern. Take a few minutes to look at the examples (listed in alphabetical order) - You might recognise yourself or someone you know…

Who can benefit from a brain scan?
Anyone looking to gain a better understanding of how their brain is working may benefit from a QEEG Brain Scan. Clinical research indicates that the application of QEEG is extensive, including (but not limited to) neuropsychiatric disorders, epilepsy, stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury and mental health disorders. At Perth Brain Centre we most commonly recommend QEEG Brain Scans to guide advice and treatment for people looking for help with ADHD, anxiety, Autism, chronic pain, depression, memory problems and performance, and migraine headaches.
